Portraiture has been around for hundreds of years… for those who could afford to employ the painters.

With the invention of photography, portraiture became readily available to the masses. Now, although everyone carries a camera, the mystique of photography has never really disappeared.

For the professional and amateur alike, it all comes down to lighting. Great lighting can make or break a photograph. Light is the key. Trained professional photographers can manipulate light to enhance the features, the skin and the personality of the subject. They have an ‘eye’ for composition and placement of the subject matter in the frame. I have these professional skills.
